Hello! :)

Carly McConnell: I will begin my senior year of high school this fall with plans to go to the University of Texas at Austin after graduation. My current plan is to attend medical school in order to become a dermatologist. As a minor, I have never voted in any official election, but I keep up with current events in order to be as politically informed as possible. This past school year I did not enjoy my social studies class and regretted not taking the class at ACC over the summer. I decided to take this course in hopes of having a more professional and educational environment than the one at my school. I hope to learn more about the way the US government works so that I may make informed decisions when I am able to participate in the election process. I consider myself to be liberal on most issues. I received a 60% on the civic literacy quiz and got 11 out of 12 questions correct on the current events quiz.
